Have Questions About Working With Trustbridge? You’re Not Alone.

We’ve compiled answers to the most common questions we receive from prospective and current suppliers. If you don’t see your question below, feel free to reach out to suppliers@trustbridge.co — we’re here to help.

About Trustbridge

What is Trustbridge?

Trustbridge is a sourcing platform that connects product teams with vetted, high-performing manufacturers across processes like CNC machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, casting, and 3D printing. We review each project internally and match it to qualified suppliers in our network — ensuring high win rates, clean files, and clear expectations.

How is Trustbridge different from a job board or marketplace?

Unlike open marketplaces, we don’t broadcast jobs to dozens of vendors. We pre-vet both customers and projects, and only route opportunities to a small group of suppliers who are a good fit. Our internal engineering team reviews every part before it reaches you, so you’re quoting real jobs — not sorting through noise.

Supplier Application & Onboarding

What do I need to apply?

Just basic company info, your capabilities, supported processes, and any certifications. Photos of your shop or past work are optional but encouraged.

How long does onboarding take?

Typically 1–2 weeks, depending on how quickly we can schedule your intro call and review your materials. Some suppliers are invited to quote a small project as part of the onboarding process.

What kinds of certifications do I need?

None are required for all jobs, but ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, or ITAR are preferred for certain projects (especially in aerospace, medical, or defense). Even if you don’t have formal certs, we still encourage you to apply — we work with shops of all sizes.

Project Workflow & Communication

How will I receive projects?

We’ll send you project briefs via email (and through our portal, if you prefer), including CAD files, drawings, material specs, and delivery requirements. You’ll only receive jobs that match your capabilities.

How many suppliers receive each project?

Usually 2–4. We don’t believe in RFQ blast emails — if you’re invited to quote, it’s because we think you’re a serious contender.

What information do I need to include in my quote?

  • Unit or total pricing

  • Lead time

  • Shipping estimate (if applicable)

  • Notes on assumptions or options
We provide a quote template, but you’re also welcome to use your own.

Do I communicate directly with the customer?

Most of the time, Trustbridge acts as your point of contact — especially early in the relationship. For technical or post-award communication, we’ll loop in the customer directly if needed.

Can I decline a project?

Yes. You’re never required to quote a project. If your capacity is full or the project isn’t a fit, just let us know — it won’t impact future opportunities.

What does a typical lead time look like?

It varies by process and project complexity. Most of our customers expect prototype parts in 5–15 business days and production orders in 3–6 weeks. Let us know what’s realistic for your shop — we value honesty and transparency.

Payments & Invoicing

How does payment work?

You’ll invoice Trustbridge directly. We typically operate on Net 30–45 terms, depending on the customer. Once parts are accepted, you’ll send an invoice with PO reference, and our team will confirm and process payment.

How do I get paid?

  • U.S. suppliers: ACH (preferred) or mailed check

  • International suppliers: Wire transfer or Wise
We’ll collect your payment info securely during onboarding.

Growth & Incentives

Do you offer incentives or long-term partnerships?

Yes. We reward our top-performing suppliers with access to premium jobs, recurring customer relationships, and even phantom equity participation in Trustbridge’s growth. We also offer referral bonuses for suppliers who bring qualified partners into the network.

What is phantom equity?

Phantom equity gives select suppliers a share in the upside of Trustbridge — such as profit distributions or a future sale — without requiring you to invest cash or hold formal shares. Grants are performance-based and offered at the discretion of our leadership team.
